One to forget as Cloney lose semi-final warm-up

Donaghcloney’s 154-run defeat away to Templepatrick will go down as one the locals will want to forget- especially with their senior cup final with Waringstown looming on Saturday.

They lost by a crushing margin at the Cloughan to a young and enthusiastic Templepatrick team, well marshalled by a competent Australian professional, Warren Clunes.

Winning the toss, skipper Keith Martin decided to field first in damp overcast conditions. With hindsight, it might have been better to bat first.
