The Ballymoney ladies had been there since 6pm the previous evening and managed to get tickets for the released Sunday date.

Zara Armstrong who wished to say thanks and emailed in the picture of Lauren said: “Lauren and my cousin Alison Campbell are both from Ballymoney and they both sat out on our behalf. By the time they got to the checkout the original dates had already sold!

“If the third date had not been released they would have missed out on tickets despite sitting in the cold for 16 hours! They were alongside a great crowd of people - there was a small number of people who pushed into the front of the queue that morning and refused to moved however everyone else conducted themselves with dignity.

“Speaking afterwards, they both said they were very happy, they were extremely cold but it was worth it.”

* Tickets went on sale at 9am on Thursday for the American country star’s gigs in Croke Park on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July. A short time later, a third date was announced for Sunday 27 July, which also sold out.

More than 200,000 tickets, costing 65 euros (£54) each, were up for grabs between the three Irish shows.
