The development is named after a local magistrate - Richard J Eaton - who presided in court in Belfast (1891) in the case of the Steamship -

‘The Dunmurry’.

Dunmurry was initially shaped by the burgeoning linen industry of the nineteenth century and remains a vibrant commercial and residential area; its rich history is visible in the historical buildings and churches along the main street and surrounding areas.

Dunmurry enjoys its own village community atmosphere and residents can enjoy lots of shopping facilities, complimented by an excellent array of cafes and restaurants. Sporting and educational needs are also well catered for in the area.

Belfast City Centre and all the social, shopping and lifestyle opportunities on offer there, is only 5 miles away, separated only by the chic boutiques and eateries of the Lisburn Road and a range of fine golf courses, picturesque parkland and riverside walks.
