Acclaimed troubadour Diana Jones coming to Portstewart

FLOWERFIELD Arts Centre welcomes one of the foremost songwriters of her generation as Diana Jones slots in a Portstewart date next week during a brief visit to Ireland to promote her new album High Atmosphere.

he show, which starts at 8pm on Friday, June 29, is promoted by the Real Music Club in Belfast, who brought fabulous concerts by Sam Baker and Tom Russell to Flowerfield in the last year.

High Atmosphere is the third album in the remarkable career arc of singer-songwriter Diana Jones.

It hits with the force of a revelation, further deepening an unprecedented body of work that began in 2006 with My Remembrance of You and continued with 2009’s Better Times Will Come.

The album she dedicated to her grandfather, My Remembrance of You, earned Jones a nomination as Best Emerging Artist at the Folk Alliance Awards, leading to tours with Richard Thompson and Mary Gauthier, appearances at folk festivals on both sides of the Atlantic, and covers of her songs by Gretchen Peters and Joan Baez.
