All ‘airs and graces’ in Ballymoney

Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee’s autumn music programme opens on Tuesday 29 October with Celtic Airs & Graces – a wonderful evening of romantic, evocative and atmospheric music from the celebrated and internationally renowned duo Karin Leitner (flute) and Cormac de Barra (harp).

This uplifting collection of music features Irish Airs, haunting Celtic melodies, lively jigs and reels, as well as classical gems and virtuoso pieces that date from past centuries right up to the present day.

Austrian Karin Leitner is a world renowned flautist. She is a soloist with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Mozart Orchestra, and Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra amongst others.

Cormac De Barra is renowned internationally as a versatile harp virtuoso. He continually pushes the boundaries of the Irish harp through his work with a wide array of artists .The performance begins at 8pm in Ballymoney Town Hall.
