Anthony Toner set for show at Old Courthouse

ANTHONY Toner celebrates the release of his fourth album, A Light below the Door, with a series of live shows throughout Northern Ireland, including one in Antrim this week.

The 10-song album includes a number of songs that have attracted applause through recent live concerts, including East of Louise and Way Too Dark, among others.

Produced by Clive Culbertson at his No Sweat Studios in Coleraine, A Light below the Door expands Anthony’s catalogue with some of his strongest material yet.

As always, the lyrics are insightful, well-crafted and filled with heart, and the collection breaks new ground as Anthony explores elements of blues and soul.

Anthony will be performing at The Old Courthouse, Antrim, this Thursday, June 9.

Patrons can expect many stories from the road along with some catchy and insightful songs. Anthony’s a fine storyteller as well as a talented guitarist and singer.

He’s in good company once again for this visit, accompanied by former Van Morrison band member Clive Culbertson on bass, who also attracted a lot of attention last year with the release of his album ‘Still Havin’ Fun’. Also appearing will be pianist John McCullough, one of the most talented musicians to emerge on the Northern Ireland scene in the last ten years and both Clive and John feature on the new album.

Tickets are available at £8/£6 concession from the box office on 028 9446 3113 or online at www.antrim.gov.uk/oldcourthouse
