Antiques talk by expert Sean at the Magherabuoy Hotel

For the first of its autumn lectures, the North Coast Association of the National Trust will welcome Sean McLaughlin who will speak about the antiques market n the current market, with a special emphasis on the place of gold both as an investment and as a precious metal for fine jewellery.

Sean is the proprietor of ‘Once Upon a Time Antiques’, Ahoghill, a family-run antiques and collectables business established in 1972.

He has a special expertise in antique furniture, art, porcelain, clocks and jewellery and members are invited to bring along any interesting coins in gold or other metals.

There will be a small prize for the most unusual item brought.

This promises to be a very interesting evening for anyone interested in antiques and collectables and in particular, jewellery.

Sean’s talk will take place in the Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush, on Tuesday, September 2 at 7.30 p.m.

All are, of course, welcome.

The cost of admission - which is payable at the door - is £4.00 and includes tea and coffee and biscuits after the talk.
