Appeal for earthquake victims

A SPECIAL coffee morning in aid of the victims of the Haiti earthquake disaster is being held at the Old Rectory, Whitepark Road, Dunseverick this Saturday.

More than 100,000 are believed to have lost their lives as a result of last week’s devastating quake.

However, it has been predicted the death toll could reach 500,000, making it the second most devastating quake in history.

In order to raise much-needed funds for the stricken survivors a coffee morning will run from 10am until 2pm.

Refreshments will be provided free of charge and all donations welcomed.

Donations will also be welcomed in the run-up to and following the coffee morning.

A similar appeal in the wake of the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004 raised 5,000.
