Armagh artistshold exhibition in Waterfront

NORTH Armagh Artists Collective are currently holding an exhibition in the Waterfront, Belfast.

The opening night was on Thursday and the show runs until January 4.

Paul King from the group said: “We were one of the few selected artists groups in Northern Ireland to be given this exhibition opportunity by the Waterfront.

“The Waterfront show is our fourth exhibition this year. We had an exhibition in the Armagh Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre in March, an exhibition in Millennium Court Arts Centre in June and an exhibition in Alwood’s gallery space in Lurgan in September.

“We also have an very impressive line up of shows for 2012.”

NAAC are a group of creative people passionate about the arts, founded in 2010 by Julie McGowan, Jonny McKerr and Paul King and based in Lurgan.

This creative group is made up of people working in media such as fine art painting, textiles, photography, poetry, performance art, graffiti art, illustration and sculpture.

With a new group studio space based in Lurgan, the NAAC have the opportunity to develop their individual working practice and showcase their work as a strong creative collective.
