'Armoy Fest' runs three days

An Ulster Scots concert will be held in Tilly Molloy’s Hall featuring Bushside Independent Flute band, Mosside Independent Accordion band, The Grousebeaters and others.

The event, which begins at 8 p.m., is being sponsored by the Ulster-Scots Agency.

On Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. there’s an exhibition of photographs and memorabilia of Bushside Independent flute band and the Independent Twelfths in Armoy since 1903.

Lambeg drumming will take place and there’s refreshments at Bushside Independent Orange Hall.

There’s free admission to both events.

The timing of the concert and exhibition is very appropriate since the Independent brethren will be marching in Armoy on the Twelfth - the first time they have been there in years.
