Autumn leaves and new creative opportunities at Flowerfield

FLOWERFIELD Arts Centre is gearing up for what looks being another busy autumn – enrolments are already starting to pour in for all kinds of creative classes on offer at the centre, in everything from hot glass to creative writing.

‘Some of the classes are already full,’ says assistant manager Anthony Toner. ‘We’ve had a bumper summer, with the children’s summer scheme running at full capacity and a whole range of one day workshops packed to the doors for August Craft Month.

‘So we’re looking forward to having the students back – seeing familiar faces, and welcoming new arrivals. If you’ve never tried our classes before, it’s an ideal time to come and get excited by taking on a new creative skill.’

The term gets under way in the week commencing September 24th and runs for ten weeks, and classes are usually two hours’ duration each week, running in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Full details of the creative classes timetable are on the ‘Classes’ page of the Flowerfield website at www.flowerfield.org.

The class fees are usually priced at around the £62 mark, with a concession rate of £55 and offer excellent value for money for a ten week course. Some are more expensive because of the additional cost of materials, etc.

Staff at the centre are also hard at work preparing a range of one day workshops with a contemporary craft theme, to run towards the end of the year.

Brochures are also available from Flowerfield Arts Centre, and you can get in touch with the reception staff for more details on (028) 7083 1400.
