The lady well capable of replying on behalf of the Lassies is Ann Morrison-Smyth better known as presenter of the BBC 2 Ulster-Scots programme, Santer.

This has the makings of a terrific night out where a full traditional Burns three-course supper of vegetable soup, haggis, sausages, and ‘tatties and neeps’ will be followed by tea and coffee and shortbread.

World Champion dancers, the Jordan sisters, will give a dance demonstration and Bracken, who have enjoyed a very successful tour of the United States, will provide music for dancing.

For further details or to purchase a ticket priced at £12.50 and includes a wee dram to toast the haggis, telephone: 028 2827 4608 or 07968 164633 before January 16.
