Specialising in foiling, embossing, die cutting and printing in a large selection of top quality mediums, Goldlink offer a variety and choice which makes them stand out as market leaders - something which didn’t go unmissed by a props scout for “The Iron Lady”.

Office manager at Goldlink’s base in Wakehurst Industrial Estate, Michelle Holden explained that they were first contacted about supplying stationery for the film last February.

“Lauren Briggs-Miller from the Art Department of The Iron Lady contacted us after visiting our website. She gave us details of the selection that she wanted and we sent her off a sample pack,” said Michelle.

Lauren wanted a traditional look and settled on Goldlink’s highly popular ‘Something Plain’ range, ordering ivory white and quartz pearlised invitations, reply cards, evening invitations and orders of service as well as ribbons.

“She said the stationery would be used as action props in a working feature film about the life of Margaret Thatcher, so we organised the products she required and despatched it to Pinewood Studios.

“In her final email to us in March, she sent us ‘a massive thank-you’ and said ‘it was exactly what she was looking for’.

“The range and colours that she chose are very traditional so it would have fitted in well with the era” said Michelle who added that she and her colleagues have yet to see the film.

“It would be fascinating to see it and maybe catch a glimpse of our products on the big screen.

“When we got that first email we didn’t know how big the film was going to be - to us it was just a query from a customer.

“At Goldlink we pride ourselves in doing the best we can for each and every one of our customers and offer a very professional, individual and personal service and we are delighted that Lauren was very happy with the service she received”
