Ballymena Young Artist of the Year

Eleven judges, including two gallery owners, newspaper editors and arts professionals had the exciting task of choosing the finalists in the

Chairman of the Judging panel, Rotarian Roy McKeown said: “The quality of the work submitted by young Ballymena artists was excellent – they could proudly hang shoulder to shoulder with work in art gallery. On behalf of Ballymena Rotary Club Roy went on to thank the judges for their time, and Vision Express, the Braid Arts Centre, the Adair Arms and John Street Gallery for their support.”

The work of the eleven finalists go forward to a final judging on February 24. The winner receives £500 plus a trophy, the title and their work on exhibition in the Braid Arts Centre.
