Ballymoney 86th show

Members of Ballymoney & District Gardening Club have busy preparing for their 86th Annual Show on Saturday 30 August in the Parish Centre at Queen Street, Ballymoney.

There will be the usual wide range of classes for flowers, fruit and vegetables, home industries and handcrafts. This year the Club has introduced a Novice Floral Art section with exhibitors competing for the Pat Hartin Trophy. BBC Journalist Kerry Thompson will officially open the Show at 2.30pm followed by the presentation of Cups.

The Show opens to the public at 1pm and after viewing the many exhibits they can relax and enjoy a cup of tea provided by Ballymoney WI. At 4.15pm there will be a sale of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Ballymoney & District Kidney Research Group is the Club’s nominated charity for 2014. Adults £2, children free.
