Ballymoney Chosen Few RBP's Evening of Music

THE members of Ballymoney R.B.P 309 are presenting an evening of music in St. James's Church Hall on Friday 22nd January at 8.00p.m.

Compere for the evening will be the Rev. Stephen Dickinson who is well known to concert audiences across Northern Ireland.

This is the first fund raising event organised by the Preceptory for some time and promises to be an evening not to be missed. The concert will feature the Hamilton Concert Flute Band from Londonderry who is making their first appearance in Ballymoney.

The ‘Hammies’ as they are known are one of the top five senior bands in Northern Ireland. They compete regularly at the Northern Ireland Bands Association Contests. They will be under the directorship of Winston Robinson. Their programme will include some old time favourites as well as some well known classical pieces.

The soloist for the evening will be Kerrie Skelton who is well known and respected in concert circles in the Ballymoney area. Kerrie is a very talented musician and is highly qualified in a number of instruments. Accompanying Kerrie on the night will be Lindsay Murray who is an experienced pianist.Riada Concert Group will bring the sounds of the accordion to the concert. The group is well known for their high standard of musicianship in the North-West and have a wide appeal to all sections of the community. Under their Musical Director Winston Robinson Riada Concert Group will perform arrangements of some popular & traditional pieces.

Tickets can be obtained from any member of the Preceptory or payable at the door on the night.
