Addiction NI is a charity which offers free confidential counselling within the Ballymoney and surrounding area.

Sami-Jo Traynor explained: “I am a Social Worker with the charity Addiction NI. I work within the charity’s Older Focus project which provides counselling and support to people aged 55 years and over who are struggling with their alcohol use.

“This project is based within the Northern Trust area, which includes Ballymoney and the surrounding towns and villages. Counselling usually takes place in the clients own home but can take place in a local community venue if preferred. We also support relatives of those over 55 who are struggling with their alcohol use. Alcohol awareness training can also be provided to groups.”
