Samuel Hyndman, Garden Heritage Development Officer with Antrim Borough Council hopes local people will be thrilled by a marvellous festive spectacle.

He explains: “The Enchanted Winter Garden will be open daily from Thursday 5 until Tuesday 24 December between 3pm and 8pm. Visitors will step inside a magical, twinkling wonderland of light as the Large Parterre Garden is transformed into a winter wonderland.

“Follow the reindeer trail for your chance to win a prize but don’t forget to look out for the giant polar bear catching snowflakes or discover where Mr Squirrel lives. What awaits you around each corner? You’ll just have to come along and find out.”

Samuel continues: “The fun doesn’t stop at the end of the trail. In the Garden Coffee Shop wrap your cold hands around a comforting mug of something warm and enjoy some the sweet, traditional Christmas treats.

“In the Garden Gift Shop you’ll find a range of gifts and decorations from leading brands such as Gisela Graham, East of India and Woodwick Candles.

If you still can’t find that perfect gift for someone special, then take a look at the pottery which is handmade at Pogue’s Entry in Antrim.”
