Be Top of the Heap at youth drama course

SUNLIGHT Productions will once again take over the Riverside Theatre in July with another unique and innovative S.T.E.D.A. Course - where you decide what happens and how it happens.

After the outstanding success of last year’s course Breaking Walls, the Creative Team cannot wait to see what artistic talent will burst on the Riverside stage this year.

The Top of the Heap course - from July 9-21 - is open to young people aged 11-18 to get involved and learn new skills in, team work, characterisation, movement, devising, acting, performance, all rolled into the theme of successfulness.

The programme leader, Stephen Ralph, a Royal Academy of Dramatic Art accredited director, who is from Coleraine, has put together a vibrant, skilled team of workshop facilitators and a course packed full of energy and enthusiasm, inviting you on the journey to find out what it means to be young and Top of the Heap in the Triangle area.

Stephen explains that the course is “young person centred in ethos and using acting in role to highlight how, what the participants have learnt can be used effectively to make good choices and decisions.

“This course in particularly is one of the Sunlight Team’s favourites as we all in some manner have a connection to the town and look forward to working with the young people who take part because we find that the north west air brings out a camaraderie to work in a team that we don’t find elsewhere”.

The course costs £95 in total with a £10 deposit fee payable on reservation of your place.

To book a place, either for yourself or for a youngster whom you think would benefit from it, please contact the Riverside Box office on 028 70 123 123.
