Belfast choir strikes high note at Vineyard

COLERAINE resonated with the sound​​ of joy as the magnificent Belfast Community Gospel Choir sang to an eager audience of over 500 at the Causeway Coast Vineyard.

.The charity fundraiser in support of local Causeway Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre not only ‘​raised the roof ‘ but also amassed over £3,000 to help bring hope and a solution to local families struggling with unmanageable debt.

The concert was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Lynas Foodservice, Macrete Ireland Ltd, ASDA Coleraine, Bishops Footwear, JKC Specialist Cars, LSFX, Marjorie-Janes and TVW Events. In attendance were many distinguished guests​including Gregory Campbell MP, Alex Attwood MLA, Deputy Mayor of Coleraine Mark Fielding as well as councillors Phyllis Fielding, Maura Hickey, William King and Stephanie Quigley.

The evening’s entertainincluded singer Callum Stewart and the Belfast choir who wowed the audience with a medley of Beatles favourites and some gospel classics.

CAP Centre manager David Mr Kelly said that over £2 million of unsecured debt has now been processed, 32 families have now gone debt-free and many more are well on the way.
