Meanwhile, Benone Tourist Complex recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of the opening of its golf course with a fun day at the venue.

A variety of free activities were enjoyed, including face painting, balloon modelling, cage football and archery. Highly acclaimed band Brown Sugar provided music on the day. During the afternoon, John January, a former Chief Technical Services Officer with Limavady Borough Council – who not only cut the first sod of the course, but also managed and supervised its creation – was joined by former green keepers Brian Toner and Edward Mellon and former warden Colin Smith, to dedicate new signage.

The occasion was also marked by the launch of new golf score cards. Staff at Benone would like to thank those who attended and participated in this event, which was a huge success.
