Blues night at the Island Arts Centre

Blues man Ronnie Greer and his band will be performing at the Island Arts Centre on November 15.

The show comes on the back of the release of his new studio album ‘A Lifetime With the Blues’. The album, recorded at Hillhouse Studios outside Belfast earlier this year, features the Ronnie Greer Blues Band (Ronnie Greer and Anthony Toner on guitars and vocals, Alan Hunter on bass and vocals and Colm Fitzpatrick on drums and percussion) at full tilt, with guest appearances by some special friends, including Ken Haddock, Grainne Duffy, Kyron Bourke, Linley Hamilton, Gerry McWhinney, David Howell on saxophone and regular Ronnie Greer Band member John McCullough on keyboards – who also produced the album.

Ronnie is a rightly renowned figure on the Northern Ireland blues scene, having for a time been a mainstay of the legendary Jim Daly Blues Band and a host of others. As a sideman and frontman, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the blues business – including the likes of Dr. John, Memphis Slim, Lowell Fulson, Phil Guy, Johnny Mars and many more.

Tickets for the Lisburn show are on sale now from the Box Office on 9250 9254.
