There are still tickets left for Red Card Theatre Company’s performance of ‘Descent’ which charts the life of a young woman in Nazi journey and how she ends up in Auschwitz concentration camp. The play performs this week in Ballycastle, Bushmills and Cushendall.

Red Card Theatre Company’s performance of the play is part of the Cultural Fusions project, which is funded under the European Union's PEACE III programme managed on behalf of the Special EU Programmes Body by the North East PEACE III Partnership.

Speaking about the play, Elaine Gaston, Arts Officer with Moyle District Council, said: “This one-woman play is a very human story and of interest to schools, community groups and young people. It tackles issues which lead to conflict and sectarianism and shows the strength of the human spirit in dealing with adversity, predjudice and suffering. Theatre is an very effective way to explore these issues in a stimulating and thought –provoking way. The performances are free of charge and everyone is welcome. There are still seats left, but advance booking is strongly advised.’
