Bushvale play will aid Sub Aqua Club

LISNAMURRICAN Young Farmers' Club will be performing their present play 'Don't Tell the Wife' at Bushvale Presbyterian Church hall on Friday, March 5, for a cause that touches the heart of the community in the area.

Proceeds from the play, which starts at 8 p.m., will go to the Dundalk Sub Aqua Club who demonstrated commitment, care and compassion during the River Bush tragedy last year which claimed the life of teenager, James Elliott.

When members of the Sub Aqua club heard of the incident they immediately came to the scene and rendered what assistance they could alongside the other agencies.

Their members made some good friends in Stranocum including Jack Anderson, WM of the local Orange Lodge whose members opened their hall for refreshments.

With the blessing of the Elliott family, Jack has decided to do something good for the Dundalk lads hence the play.

Already playing to large audiences, the three-act play should go down a treat and for an admission charge of 5 only, it represents a good night out.

Tickets are available from McKeefrey’s of Maghera in High Street, Ballymoney, from Glebeside Community House and from Mr. Anderson himself on 078585 19471. The public can also pay at the door on the night.

A specially-designed poster by a pupil at Bush Valley Primary School in the village will help publicise the event which ought to have the full backing of the community.
