Cantemus choir at Portstewart concert

Cantemus, one of the many great choirs in the Causeway Coast area is pleased to announce its fourth Christmas Concert

The concert will take place in Star of the Sea Church, Portstewart on Friday, December 11 at 7.30pm.

This year the choir is delighted to welcome back Helen Mark (BBC) as their guest compere and Ian Mills (St Columb’s Cathedral, Londonderry) as their guest organist. Joining them for the first time is the harpist Rhian Hanson. Rhian has played with many of the UK’s leading orchestras, and has worked with Il Divo and Katherine Jenkins.

The choir will present an exciting programme of Christmas music with Niamh McClarty’s wonderful soprano voice in a choir version of ‘O Holy Night’. Local schoolgirl. Ellie Baxter will introduce ‘Once in Royal David’s City’. The audience will of course have the chance to join in singing the traditional Christmas hymns and the ticket price, £5, includes supper in the Parish Centre kindly served by the church ladies.
