CE President role for Jean

Excitement is mounting for many in the Ballymena and Coleraine Christian Endeavour Union as celebrations to mark 125 years of the life and witness of CE in Ireland are fast approaching.

These coincide with the Movement’s 100th Irish National Convention on Friday and Saturday, September 19 and 20, in Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Belfast’s Agnes Street and it will be at this momentous occasion that Mrs Jean McGall from Second Broughshane Presbyterian Church will be installed as President.

Jean, who was born in Ballymena, was introduced to Young People’s CE by the Rev Tom Cumming in Buckna Presbyterian Church.

Following her marriage to Ken, they jointly took over the leadership of Second Broughshane Young People’s Society and Jean went on to form a Junior Society there, which she still leads.

She has given many years of sterling service to Christian Endeavour at Irish level and was previously President in 2006/2007.
