Charity concert for homeless

DEPAUL Ireland are putting on a charity extravaganza at Belfast’s City Hall on Saturday, March 26.

The ‘Voice of the City’ event will be hosted by Trevor McDonald, the face of ITN’s News at Ten, and will feature live performances from Iain Archer, Declan O’Rourke, Paul Currie, Silhouette, Katie & the Carnival, Rachael McCabe, Caolan McBride, Geoff Hatt.

‘Voice of the City’ will include a dazzling array of music, comedy and performances to suit all tastes. It will celebrate the wealth of talent among Northern Irish performers, and the hidden talent of the homeless people Depaul work with every day. Your chairman for the evening’s delights will be Sir Peregrine Ravenguard (aka local actor Stephen Beggs).

Depaul Ireland’s work giving ‘voice’ to homeless people brings an added dimension to this exciting night that aims to raise awareness about the problem of homelessness as well as necessary funds to continue Depaul’s vital work.

Announcing the event Lurgan woman Kerry Anthony MBE, CEO of Depaul Ireland, said: “Homelessness unfortunately remains a problem across Ireland. In Depaul Ireland we work with over 1,000 homeless people a year and we are continually finding innovative and creative ways to raise funds. We like to offer people something special and memorable in return for their donations and ‘Voice of the City’ is guaranteed to be just that.”
