Charity night for hospice
A CHARITY night in aid of the Newry Hospice has been organised for the Bannville House Hotel on Friday, May 28.
It will feature well known country artists including Steve Hamilton (ex Country Harmony), Paul Donnelly, Tony Kerr, Larry Taffe, Bonnie Stewart, Catherine Kearney, Tony O’Rourke, The Hegarty Twins and Ann Moore. Admission is 10 payable at the door.
The event has been organised by local man Ernie Millar, who underwent a major operation five years ago, and has been raising money for cancer charities ever since.
Ernie has also put together a team of 30 to do a sponsored walk along the towpath to Scarva on Sunday, April 25.
