Cinders come to Banbridge for three nights only

CINDERELLA and her ugly sisters will be making their way to Banbridge later this week as a group of dramatists perform a show to remember.

Almost half of the members of the Enable 2 Act group have a physical or learning diability - making the theatre group unique to the area.

Recently the group was delighted to accept a cheque for £1,100 from Christine Fairley after funds were raised at a night of musical theatre in Portadown last month.

The screenplay of Cinderella: A Fairy Tale, has been specially adapted by Jonny Conaghan and is set to take place in the Parish Centre on the Scarva Road from Friday November 18 until Sunday November 20.

Prince Henry of Banbridge is played by local boy Liam Ross. Liam has Downs Syndrome and no speech but despite this is said to be charming and charasmatic in his Prince Charming role.

The role will be narrated and also use a form of sign language called Makaton - allowing audience members to gain a rare insight into what is may be like to live with such a disability.

Enable 2 Act manager Stewart Penn said he is very much looking forward to the shows and invited anyone who would like further information or to attend the showto visit www.enable2act.com or the group’s facebook page.
