Concern over ‘tight’ timeline for War GardenScheme

Concern has been expressed over the ‘tight’ timeline for the completion of Dervock War Memorial Garden Improvement Scheme.

During last Monday’s Council meeting, Director John Michael outlined that ‘deadlines had not complied with renovation deadlines’.

He explained that tenders were not to be returned until 12th September with the contract award being on the 16th September.

He added: “The contract was to commence on September 15 and completed by October 24th. However we will be luck to have it completed by October 31. It’s going to be tight to get it done by the 11th night.” * The redecoration work at Ballymoney Town Hall and Riada House were also highlighted as not complying with the orginal renovation deadline.
