Conleth set for Belfast gig

Lurgan’s Conleth Kane is getting set to host his first concert in Belfast on December 21.

The appropriately titled ‘All I want for Christmas’ promises a packed programme of song and stories, sure to earn Conleth even more fans, while thanking those who have supported his burgeoning career.

The show takes place at the Black Box theatre in Belfast offering ‘a cool and credible’ venue to showcase Conleth’s undoubted talent.

He told the ‘MAIL’: “I did a show in London a couple of years ago and as I was going to be over here for Christmas I thought it the ideal opportunity to do a show here.

“I’m as nervous as I am excited and I hope people come to see it.

“The Black Box is a cool and credible venue that seats about 200 and I’m delighted I have Mark Dougherty from Riverdance as musical director.”

Tickets are on sake exclusively from the Black Box theatre and Conleth has already been hearing from old friends keen to see the show.

Conleth is also using the show as an opportunity to thank all those who gave him such wonderful support when he appeared in RTE reality shoiw Fame: The Musical a few years ago.

He was the only contestant from Northern Ireland to reach the final 12.

The show will, of course, feature Christmas music and some of Conleth’s favourite Christmas Carols plus stories of what inspired him to move from Lurgan to the footlights of London.

With a starring role in the ‘Molly Wobbly T*t Factory’ and a duet with Pink to his name, Conleth’s is a talent to be reckoned with.

One of the reason’s he’s back home for Christmas is the fact he’s just landed a major role in a show at the Theatre on the Mill in Newtownabbey, Tinseltown which plays from December 1 to 13.

Conleth has been offered a West End musical opening in January and can reveal everything at a later date’.
