‘Coping with cancer’ event in Ballymoney Health Centre

The FHB Patient Participation Group is holding a Patient Information Afternoon on cancer awareness at the Lecture Theatre in Ballymoney Health Centre at 2.30pm on Tuesday, June 10th.

The event is entitled ‘Coping with cancer’ and deals with raising cancer awareness, living with cancer and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

The speakers will be Dr Moyra Mills and Nuala McErlain from Macmillan Cancer Support.

Representatives from Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, Prostate Cancer UK and the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children will also be on hand to give advice and information.

The Patient Participation Group is aware of the high cancer rates in Northern Ireland and is keen to provide information, education and signposting to relevant community and health servicves which can help support those in need and their families.

All are welcome to attend whether or not their lives have been touched by cancer.
