On Thursday 13th November 2015 Corrymeela transformed its dining area into a woodland with picnic blankets and falling leaves to make a magical Teddy Bears picnic for local children.

The Teddy Bears Picnic had lots of delicious home baked cakes for sale, and children were entertained with songs, face painting, storytelling and cupcake decorating.

Corrymeela wishes to thank all the organisers and supporters of the event!

Fundraising manager at Corrymeela, Marie-Louise McClarey said: ‘The Teddy Bears Picnic was a great feel-good event and Desy Smyth who chefs at Corrymeela was brilliant as the chief organiser with a great team of staff and local and international volunteers. It was great hosting the wee ones from Mother Goose and Jack Horner and I must say everyone was extremely generous so a big Pudsey thanks to everyone!!’
