Council holding free tennis sessions

CALLING all you budding tennis stars! Whether you have dreams of Wimbledon or just enjoy a game of tennis why not come along to Craigavon Borough Council’s Parks Tennis Week and enjoy a fun filled way to improve your tennis under the instruction of qualified and experienced tennis coaches.

The event, running in conjunction with the Sport NI Lottery funded Active Communities Programme; will take place from Monday to Friday, July 2-6 at Portadown Peoples Park and Brownstown Park.

Parks Tennis Week is free and open to those aged between 6 and 16 years old. Individuals can attend the full or part week depending on their preference; however places are limited so booking is recommended.

Participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear and clothing (including sun hats) and to bring drinks and snacks, however, all tennis equipment such as racquets will be provided.

The morning events will be held daily at Portadown Peoples Park starting at 10am to 12pm with Brownstown Park hosting the afternoon session from 2pm to 4pm.
