Council launch Community Festivals Fund

COLERAINE Borough Council, with the support of the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, has opened the Community Festivals Fund 2012.

The fund can provide financial assistance to community festivals happening within the Coleraine Borough. Festivals must be initiated and led by a community organisation or a community led partnership.

There will be one call for applications to this fund in this financial year. Support may only be provided for community festivals happening between1st June 2012 and March 2013.

The closing date for completed applications is Thursday, March 29. No late applications will be considered under any circumstances.

It not anticipated that any single grant for a festival would be lower than £500 or exceed £5,000, however Council reserves the right to increase the amount of funding awarded if deemed appropriate.

The level of grant awarded will depend on how the project meets the assessment criteria and there is no guarantee that successful applicants will receive the amount applied for.
