Country gospel, The Indiansand a Brian Friel classic!

COUNTRY AND GOSPEL NIGHT – Thursday, March 6:

Elaine Wood and Steve Farlow with their lovely duets are no strangers to the Riverside

and always feel very welcome. The legendary singer with a wonderful voice, Crawford Bell, will be joining Elaine and Steve on stage. Crawford is well known for his huge hit “The Old Lamplighter” And compere once again will be none other than Terence McKeague, who is always a great favourite with Coleraine audiences.

DANCING AT LUGHNASA – Friday, March 7, 11am, 8pm:

Riverside is excited to host performances based on the lives of Friel’s mother and aunts who lived in the Glenties, on the west coast of Donegal in the summer of 1936.

The play depicts the late summer days when love and romance seems possible for three of the Mundy sisters (Chris, Rose, and Kate) and the family welcomes home the frail elder brother, Father Jack, who has returned from a life as a missionary in Africa.

However all is not as it seems and as the summers comes to an end; the family foresees the sadness and economic privations under which they will suffer as all hope fades.

This performance has been described as a masterpiece, and a total joy.

This professional production of the play is brought to Coleraine by the Bardic Theatre.

THE INDIANS – Saturday, March 8, 8pm:

This show is a real treat as this group has been on the road together for four decades and in that time not much has changed in their line up.

Their long lasting legacy and solid friendships have stood the test of time and always has resulted in a show that extends that same warmth and comradeship to their audiences.
