Many acts have played there since its opening back in 2000, however Brendan Shine and his Band return every year to a warm Cookstown welcome and this Friday will see his return along with special guests Gerard Dornan from Country Harmony, Boxcar Brian and Shauna McStravock.

Brendan Shine and his Band have become a household name over the years and singing hits such as “Where did you meet her” and “Do you want your old lobby washed down” they are sure to keep the toes tapping all night long. with plenty of craic and banter between himself and the audience Brendan loves nothing more to tell his stories from over the years and share his life with fans.

No stranger to the Burnavon is Boxcar Brian, having just released his new album at the Lammas Fair he is in fine form and looking forward to his return. He has been BBC Radio Ulsters most requested artist and is regularly out and about on the outside broadcasts, loved by everyone young and old he takes it in his stride.

Local girl Shauna McStravock will also return to the stage on Friday night. Currently working on a new album Shauna has the perfect blend for a country star.

Of course it is in her blood with her aunt being Jolene from Country flavor. Over the past few years she has went from strength to strength supporting artists such as Nathan Carter and Mike Denver and is delighted to be returning to the Burnavon with Brendan Shine

Holding it all together and compering the evening is Mr Country Music himself, Sean Wallace with his musical styled coat will be compere for the night. Sean is notorious for his Country Showtime concerts a few times every year in the Burnavon. Always with a smile and a thousand welcomes for everyone that crosses his path he is looking forward to returning this weekend.
