Countryside Walk at Benvarden Estate and the River Bush

BALLYMONEY Borough Council in association with the Bank of Ireland would like to invite you to a 3 mile circular walk centred on the beautiful Benvarden House and Gardens on – Wednesday 9 June.

It is one of the oldest estates in Northern Ireland, acquired by the McNaughten family in 1636. The Montgomery family are the present owners and Hugh Montgomery will lead a guided walk through the grounds, including a section along the scenic River Bush.

Following the walk, participants will be able to enjoy refreshments and there will be an opportunity to view and purchase from the beautifully landscaped gardens. Good sturdy boots or shoes are required as there may be some uneven ground and stiles to cross.
