Dancing on Ice tour skates into the Odyssey

PREPARE to be thrilled by glitzy costumes, dangerous lifts and even some tumbles along the way, as Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice UK tour 2010 skates into the Odyssey Arena, Belfast for four shows in May.

The tour will be paying a visit to Belfast from May 6-9 with some of the biggest stars from this year's series, as well as some familiar faces from previous years.

This year's favourite to win, ex-Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon has already signed up to compete alongside, Inbetweeners star Emily Atack, ex-Footballers' Wives actor Gary Lucy and 2Point4 Children actress Clare Buckfield.

Also included in the line-up to take part in the tour are Boyzone's Mikey Graham, former Coronation Street favourite Gaynor Faye, ex-Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain and former X-Factor star Ray Quinn.

Singer and actor Ray was crowned the winner of the 2009 ITV1 series and consistently wowed audiences with his performances during the 2009 tour. Gaynor Faye was winner of the first TV series and Chris Fountain was a runner up in series three. Emily Atack and Gary Lucy are both dancing in the current series. Clare Buckfield took second place in the 2007 series of Dancing on Ice.

They will all ice dance their way around the country to live arena audiences in Newcastle, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Belfast to specially choreographed routines by skating legends Torvill & Dean.

More than 750,000 people have been to see the tour in previous years enjoying the stunning performances and individual routines.

The format of the tour is the same as previous years and as in the hit ITV1 show, the audience will be able to use their mobile phone to text vote for their favourite dancing couple. The votes will then be added to the scores from the Judges to decide the winner. Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a magical finale. As with the previous tours, all profits from text voting will go to charity; more than 80,000 has been raised to date.
