David set to dazzle

DAVID Patterson is an emerging contemporary singer songwriter from Lurgan.

On Saturday, November 3 he will play the biggest gig of his career to date when he takes to the stage in the Waterfront Hall to perform during the Remembrance concert.

David is already pioneering a name for himself amongst the current music scene with songs covering issues such as war, love and the topical state of affairs.

Armed only with an acoustic guitar, harmonica, five-string banjo and occasionally mandolin, David can enthral a crowd in seconds with his incandescent charm and wit, but most importantly his original compositions.

This young troubadour comes from a musical family and is defined by the songs he listened to as a child - those of Hank Williams and Buddy Holly. He cites Woody Guthrie and John Hartford as his main influences, and has provided a song for a documentary currently in the making about the life and times of Hartford.

David will be appearing at the Remembrance concert in the Waterfront to perform his new single ‘(War Takes A) Certain State Of Mind’.
