Well, that’s exactly the task that the cast of “13 the Musical” have taken on before the Victoria Lagan Dance and Drama company presents the Irish premiere of the show in the Riverside Theatre on Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15 at 8pm.

Following a move from New York City to small-town Indiana, young Evan Goldman grapples with his parents’ divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah, and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school.

13 is the first and only Broadway musical to have a cast and band consisting entirely of teenagers. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, “13” is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.
