Don’t miss Derek Ryan at the Island

Hailing from County Carlow, country singing sensation Derek Ryan was bred into loving Irish traditional music by his family.

His writing ability was seen in his debut hit ‘God’s Plan’ that received considerable airplay and was used in Irish dance halls and in sell-out concerts in England and Scotland. It has since been recorded by Daniel O’Donnell.

Derek’s most recent album, Country Soul, was released in October 2013 and is a mix of original songs, old-time favourites and chart covers. Popular songs by Ryan include ‘It’s Friday’, ‘Welcome Home (The Gathering)’, and ‘100 Numbers’.
