NORTHERN Ireland’s favourite Farm Toy and Model Show is six-years-old.

This twice yearly family event is set to take place at the Best Western Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush on Friday, November 25 between 2.00pm and 10.00pm.

The show, which has featured on the RTE programme Ear To The Ground, attracts families from throughout both Northern Ireland and the Republic.

A wide selection of toy and model tractors, play tractors, ride on vehicles and for the first time dolls houses make the event the ideal one stop shop for present buying in the run-up to Christmas.

Together with tractors there is farm machinery, buildings, books, dvds, gifts and local crafts.

The diverse range of items available for all ages ensures that visitors to the event can always find something of interest whether it is some of the latest releases or some older obsolete models.

Speaking about the show, Alastair Bell said: “Farm toys are one of the greatest gifts that a parent can give their children, the opportunities for creativity and imagination are boundless, parents can play with their children and with the huge range of tractor toys available there is something for all ages whether for indoor or outdoor use.”

At the forthcoming show children will be able to use pedal tractors in the pedal tractor ‘drive zone’ and also enjoy using a range of play tractors.

As families are such an integral part of the Northern Ireland Farm Toy and Model Show, the organisers Alastair Bell and Keith Scott decided to invite the Children’s Heartbeat Trust and Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal to be the designated charity at the forthcoming event when prize draws and an auction will raise funds for this vital work.
