Dream wedding for Siobhan and Brian

A GLENGORMLEY couple celebrated their nuptials in the Galgorm Resort and Spa after winning a fantastic wedding package worth £10,000.

Siobhan Duffy from Glengormley and Brian Darby from Newry won the wedding package at last year’s bridal fair in the Ballymena hotel.

The couple were married in St Mary’s on the Hill Church and celebrated with their reception at the five star resort.

Their prize included photography by award winner Michael McKay, flowers by Sally’s Floral Studio, music by Arco String Quartet and Wedding Band ‘Curve,’ while the all-important cake was supplied by Heavenly Cakes and Favours.

Beautiful bride Siobhan Darby said: “We still can’t believe we won the prize, as we’re never lucky enough to win anything.

“It has all been like a fairy tale come true.

“The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable and we felt at ease straightaway.

“We couldn’t praise them enough and would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped make our dream wedding a reality.”

Yvonne Smyth, general manager at Galgorm added: “We’d like to extend our congratulations to Siobhan and Brian on their special day and would like to wish them every happiness for the future.

“We were delighted to be part of their joyous occasion and hopefully will be welcoming them back to enjoy the resort and its facilities in the near future.”

Following the wedding the happy couple spent a couple of days at Lough Eske Castle in Donegal before starting married life in Glengormley.

They are planning to honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the Maldives later this year.

The Galgorm is currently offering another lucky couple who book their wedding with the hotel the chance to win a luxurious five-star honeymoon in association with Chaka Travel.
