Drum roll sounds as Moira’s new music school opens
During the week students were guided through a programme of song writing and composition by school founder, musician Sean Randle.
The summer scheme covered the principles of composing music and writing lyrics to complete a song. The group brought a range of skill and experience in guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals and by the end of the week were playing together as a well rehearsed group.

13-year-old Emma Horan said: “This summer scheme has been absolutely amazing. I always wanted to learn songwriting and now I have accomplished that. I loved working with the group, they are such talented students and I loved making the recording.”
Mid-week, vocal coach and singer, Dana Masters, delivered a vocal master-class, which was a real treat for the young singers in the group and helped to develop both skill levels and personal confidence in the budding musicians.
The intensive week-long programme culminated in the recording of the song which the group had collaboratively produced in their sessions. Each will receive a mixed CD of the recording which is sure to impress family and friends.
