Duke Special added to Electric Picnic line up

Duke Special is a veteran of the Electric Picnic and is making a welcome return to perform all of his best loved songs.

One of Ireland's most successful sons, a vaudevillian, hero in the midst of a technology reliant world. Since the release of his three albums - the multi platinum selling Choice Music Prize and Meteor Music Award nominated Songs From the Deep Forest, the follow up platinum I Never Thought This Day Would Come and the hugely lauded triple release The Stage, A Book and The Silver Screen, Duke Special has toured hundreds of sold out shows across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the U.S.

Also added to the line up this week is Janelle Monae, who has earnt widespread acclamation for her compelling cybersoul sound and her rise has been nothing short of meteoric.

Dennis Alcapone will be gracing the Picnic with his DK skill and Bella Union's new signing Mountain man will also be bringing their haunting folk sound to the Electric Picnic.

Neon Indian, Freeland Whales, Hurts, Delta Maid, O Emperors, Joe Echo and Vengeance and the Panther Queen will also be performing at the Picnic this year.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Memory Tapes and Breakestra & Chali 2 Na will no longer be appearing at this year's Electric Picnic.
