Eclectic mix on third album for David

Recorded in New York, London, Dublin and his home studio, it features collaborations with Duke Special, Grammy winning jazz star Joe Lovano and American rap visionary Talib Kweli, whose own collaborations include Pharrell, Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am and Kanye West.

Like Lyttle’s 2012 album Interlude, which earned him an international reputation as a rising star, Faces also features members of his family, including his folk singer mother Anne, who co-wrote closing track ‘Perception’, and sisters Rhea and Jan. Artists from Lyttle’s Lyte Records label also feature, including Jason Rebello, whose latest album Anything But Look received a 2014 MOBO nomination and jazz legend Jean Toussaint, the face of Guinness’ new TV campaign, and up and coming Irish hip hop artist Zane, who co-wrote and raps on the track ‘Game Boy’.

David said: “It’s been an adventure writing and recording this album and collaborating with some of my heroes, friends, family and mentors.

“Sometime during the past two years I made a decision to satisfy my broad musical tastes and not be so specific like I’d done in the past as a jazz musician.

“As a result Faces is very diverse but I feel it’s the most personal and honest thing I’ve done.”
