Envisage knocking at the door

LOCAL rock band Envisage have been making a name for themselves on the local scene, epitomised by their EP launch to a sell-out crowd in Lurgan.

The band have recently branched out playing some quality gigs nationally and have attracted the attention of a local label.The 'And It All Kicks Off' EP found its way into the hands of a local independent record label, Encosia Music, who were blown away by the quality of the songs.

They accepted them to be the first Northern Irish band to be enlisted to play a track on a proposed 10-track CD due for release in the UK in the Spring of 2011, showcasing the very best of the province's unsigned acts.

Envisage made of Lurgan's John Moore, Kayleigh Gallagher, Stefan Kelly and Mathew Burke are about to take part in Hagan's unplugged in Dungannon on Thursday, July 8 when they will be pitting their talents along side some of Northern Ireland's elite in a hope of wining a massive prize in conjunction with Encosia Music, Hagan's Bar, Dungannon and Make Your Music Happen.

The final which takes place in August is to be judged by some of the UK's big names in music and the winner is sure to go on to greater things.

Local band Signed by Jeff are also in the competition on July 1 and buses are being arranged for both heats and everyone is welcome to come along and help the bands get through their respective heats.
