Kayleigh and John first discovered they had a musical affinity in the band Pariah.

John said: “When we were in that group we never even spoke. But shortly after Pariah broke up Kayleigh and I got together. It was our love of the same music that started this off.”

Envisage started out as an acoustic duo in December 2007, but when John and Matthew joined the band they were drawn back to their metal roots.

“We played their first gig on New Year’s Eve 2008 in the Ceili House,” said Kayleigh. “We played a few headline gigs there as well. We didn’t know at the time, but we were the last ones to play there before it closed.”

The band's influences include Paramore, Tool and Killswitch Engage with a bit of Primus thrown in for good measure.

Kayleigh’s powerful vocals add a touch of gloss to a tight unit who are highly accomplished at making alternative music for the masses.
