Presentations included personal accounts of how, via participation in these programmes, individual lives have been transformed.

The audience heard accounts of how genuine friendships are being formed among many young people when they are given the opportunity to meet and to spend time together, enjoying one another’s company.

In his address guest speaker, Dr Inderjit Bhojal, leader of the Corrymeela Community, praised the work being carried out in the spirit of reconciliation in Lurgan and set out the concept of how Lurgan could become a ‘City of Sanctuary’ where all people, regardless of their background, would be made welcome and could live in safety - a truly inspirational challenge to us all.

Lurgan Musical Society entertained everyone with a wonderful selection of songs and the evening ended with an excellent supper upstairs in the Jethro Centre’s Cafe Rhema.
